Elegant airy tropical, an artist’s house enchantingly furnished with original artwork throughout. Casa Sara features an open floor plan, two stories, balconies up and down from which to enjoy sparkling views of the Caribbean. Exceptionally bright cool and breezy. Three charmingly appointed bedrooms with views of the Caribbean, each with queen size beds. Fully tiled bathrooms, tub and shower upstairs, large easy access terrazzo tiled shower with grip bar downstairs. Large open fully appointed kitchen, washer/dryer. The kitchen overlooks lemon, banana, and mango trees in the fenced backyard.

Conveniently located in Esperanza just off Flamboyan, near the Tradewinds Inn and restaurant. This location allows you to enjoy your stay without the absolute necessity of a rental car. A short walk to many other restaurants, and an excellent bakery. Walk the scenic Malecon and enjoy the beaches, shops, restaurants and the local museum. Also nearby are convenience stores and a Publico stop for trips around the island. Spanish charm in an established neighborhood create the perfect getaway. Walk to the Inn on the Blue Horizon for dinner and drinks, or perhaps dinner and music at La Serena.

Vieques Island is situated eight miles off the east coast of Puerto Rico and can be reached by air or ferry from San Juan or Fajardo. The airline services Vieques from San Juan International Airport or Isla Grande Airport. The ferry departs Fajardo to and from Vieques on a regular daily schedule, the fare is two dollars. Vieques is part of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. The local currency is the US dollar and the Post Office is US. Vieques Island is bucolic and not overly developed. The beaches are pristine and uncrowded. Grassy park like Sun Bay offers great swimming with a classic crescent palm lined beach. Horses roam free on the island, and are ridden by the local Paso Fino enthusiasts. The island offers great snorkeling, scuba diving and night time trips to one of worlds finest bioluminescent bays. Vieques is known as an artist island, the little museum in Esperanza features local archaeological finds.

If Columbus were to sail by again as he did on his second voyage, he would find the island still to his liking.
